RCB vs KXIP . 8.00PM
Big boys and one of the tournament favorites have managed to dissapoint their most loyal fan base once again in IPL.
When they posted 170 odd everyone felt they had enough but no it was that man Sunil Narine again with his 17 ball 50 took away the game from RCB within 6 overs.
Chri Woakes was the pick of the bowlers for rcb and the rest had a miserable night.
KXIP have shown that they are the certain contenders for the cup this time with a strong show in their opening game.
It was KL Rahul with his fastest fifty in IPL and Karun Nair with a fifty not the fastest but a equally good one stole the show.
KL took away the game from DD in a jiffy pounding the Warhorse Mishra for 34 runs in the second over itself.
They wil be looking to reproduce such a performance again in this game.
Their coach Daniel Vettori reiterated that he would stick with 5 bowler formula once again.
This could mean they will stick with same XI which lost the game against KKR.
Newly married Aaron Finch has joined the KXIP squad and could likely replace David Miller in the pecking order.
But it remains to be seen if it will happen in reality since they performed clinically in their first game.
The match is in Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore.
The have removed the old track which produced slow Turners last year and a new surface has been laid.
I is expected to be flat like the old times and yield runs.
Probable Playing XI:-
(In Batting Order)
QDK, B Mcculum, VK (c), ABD, Sarfaraz, Mandeep Singh, C Woakes, W Sundar, K Khejrolia, Y Chahal, U Yadav
KL, A Finch, M Agarwal, K Nair, Yuvi, M Stoinis, A Patel, R Ashwin(c), A Tye, M Sharna, Mujeeb Rahman
(We will update this section 3 Hours Before Deadline)
QDK (Out of touch)
KL Rahul (Fastest fifty in IPL in the last game) (C VC)
VK (Must have) (C VC)
ABD (In form) (Must have) (C VC)
Aaron Finch (RISKY OVERSEAS)
BAZ (looked in great touch) (Must have)
Karun Nair (Fifty in the last game)
Mayank Agarwal (Can’t be judged by a single game)
Marcus Stoinis (Didn’t do much in the last game)
Axar Patel (Can be expensive at times)
Chris Woakes (C VC) (Must have)
Yuzi Chahal (Was very expensive)
Andrew Tye (Must have) (Wicket taking bowler)
Umesh Yadav (bowled really well)
Washington Sundar (Good PP bowler)
KL Rahul seems to be a better option compared to QDK who looked at over the place and also could be dropped.
VK and ABD are of course the default choices from batting section because both of them are in great touch and want to win the cup badly.
BAz als looked really good in the last game with that quick fire 48 which makes him a must have choice as well.
On out of Karun and Mayank should fill in to your needs is 4th batsmen and I suggest you to choose from within these options to be on the safe side.
Chris Woakes is of course the best bowler for RCB at the moment and has always been amongst the wickets.
If you are willing to pick 2 all-rounders then go with Axar who is scheduled to bowl 4 full overs.
Andrew Tye is a must have in this section along with Umesh Yadav who bowled really well in the last game.
If you have credits consider picking Yuzi Chahal.
Yuvraj Singh has a poor record against spin bowlers. He has scored 222 runs of 219 Balls In IPL against Spin bowlers.
Umesh Yadav has dismissed Yuvraj Singh 3 Times. Also, he has taken 20 wickets in 14 Matches against KXIP.
Kohli has scored 127 Runs of 97 Balls against Ashwin and haven’t got dismiss once.
Average Total at Chinaswamy Stadium is 142 runs. But since the pitch has been changed, nothing can be said.
B Mcculum has a poor record against Axar Patel. He scored only 34 runs of 38 balls and got dismissed 3 times. [/sociallocker]
